Snuggly-buggly treesie-weesie

I came across this Random Act of Crochet in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, right outside the doors of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I'll spare you the photo
of my friend Alexa hugging this cuddly tree.

Months of studying Swiss typography resulted in this type-forward poster for a screening of the films of this guy. My typography instructor informed the class that he'd like to see all of them designing posters "more like this." SCORE!

Hello again

Today I resumed art school classes.

I brought with me a snap-shut container of butternut miso
soup, and my laptop, and I wore boots that manage well in
snow and ice (because I walk about a mile to school, and
too many home- and business-owners fail to shovel their
walks*).

So far today, I've
a) managed to be late to my first class,
b) discovered that I have to buy a new software suite for
several hundred dollars, and
c) returned my old studio key before removing contents
from a locked drawer.

Nice, Aimee.

* If you live in Minnesota, you have to freaking shovel
in the winter. Seriously, people, it is not optional.

Cherry layer cake

These are some cherry layer cake photos I forgot to share after husbeau's recent birthday. It was an exquisite cake. The middle layer was a lovely cherry puree!
