Clothespin dolls--not just for 1865 anymore

I'd bet our plow and the egg money that clothespin dolls have been around nearly as long as clothespins themselves. Here are a few I made, and here's the link that inspired all of this prairie-style craftivity!

  1. Oh my gosh - I adore them! I say that the next time we get together we pull them all together and play dolls - ha! ha! I have such a special place in my heart for clothespin dolls. When I was in third grade our teacher would make dozens and dozens of boy and girl dolls for the class following a big test (i.e. Revolutionary War themed for a test on the Revolutionary War, Native American for the French Indian War, etc.) After we got our grades back, we were allowed to pick out a clothes pin doll of our choice, and whoever got the highest grades got to pick first. Man, talk about motivation for a 3rd grader! I still have those dolls somewhere...
